The CW is shoring up its 2013-2014 schedule for beyond the fall.

The network has ordered additional scripts for The Originals, The Tomorrow People and Reign, an early sign that the network likes what it's seen so far. However, additional script orders don't always result in full season orders, as evidenced by Last Resort at ABC last year, so the shows will still have to perform well in the ratings to secure their futures.

Of course, the additional script order is a bit peculiar in the case of Reign, as the historical drama hasn't yet premiered. However, there's plenty of buzz on the show, which centers on a young Mary, Queen of Scots. The series debuts on October 17.

As for the shows that have already hit the airwaves, The Tomorrow People premiered with 2.3 million viewers on Wednesday night, while The Originals, a spin-off of The Vampire Diaries, raked in 1.9 million on Tuesday night.

This is definitely encouraging news for the fall lineup. Bring on Reign! (Seriously, I'm irresponsibly excited about this damn show)
