The CW Developing Series Based on 'Hourman' from DC Comics

Looks like Arrow will be getting some company on The CW's superhero lineup.
The network is developing a series based on Hourman, the DC Comics character who can see brief flashes of things that will happen an hour into the future. While this sounds a lot like the old CBS drama Early Edition, there's a lot more to Hourman than meets the eye.
The character, who first appeared in 1940, is described as "a highly intelligent, emotionally burdened pharmaceutical analyst who finds his purpose by preventing the tragedies he sees. Along the way, he hopes to reunite with his ex-wife and son." Okay, maybe it is a lot like Early Edition, but hey, if anyone knows how to make this thing a fun, over-the-top melodrama, it's probably The CW.
Michael Caleo (Ironside) will write the script, while Dan Lin (The Secret Lives of Wives) will executive produce alongside Jennifer Gwartz (Veronica Mars) in association with Warner Bros. TV.
