Curb Records To Release Yet Another Tim McGraw Compilation Album

By Vickye ·

Curb Records really do work in strange ways.

So desperate were they to keep Tim McGraw under contract during the peak of his career, they released 7 greatest hits albums, continually fought things out in court (and repeatedly lost) when they refused to release his album Emotional Traffic, then released it, released a Tim McGraw duets album at the same time as his debut Two Lanes of Freedom for Big Machine Records, and are now set to release another Tim album.

This one is to be titled Love Story, and will feature a compilation of past material love songs plus two unreleased ones, available exclusively through Walmart and dropping on February 2. No doubt this has something to do with the fact that Tim is halfway through recording another new studio album for Big Machine, and Curb just can't resist trying to cash in again on his stardom. There is apparently no rhyme or reason to their weird industry sense either.

Curb Records have a history of doing stuff like this to people and I'm sure it won't be the last time they re-hash things regarding Tim or another one of their lost artists. LeAnn Rimes released her final Curb album this year (which sold poorly due to lack of promotion) but naturally they'll want to keep bringing in the dollah. Jo Dee Messina also recently left Curb after struggles to get her music out, and instead began a Kickstarter campaign to raise the funds for a new album, which is now due release.

Here is the track listing for Tim's "new" album.
