Courtney Stodden and Doug Hutchison get their reality show deal

The questionable couple of 16 year old Courtney Stodden and 51 year old Doug Hutchison is in the news again announcing the fact that they finally have their reality show...

Ew.

Courtney Stodden and Doug Hutchison have found a producer for their reality show in what may either be: a. the greatest news you’ve heard all day, or b. a sign of the impending apocalypse.

The extremely May-December couple — he’s 51, she’s 16 — told Radar Online that they signed a deal with Roy Bank, whose previous credits include “Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader?”

While the couple told Radar that Bank’s former employer Merv Griffin Entertainment will produce the show, Bank told Celebritology that the deal is with his new company, Banca Studio. Based on their statement — “[We] are thrilled to be working with this prestigious production company” — the couple seems to be unaware of this.

“They are going to be very, very open about their lives,” Krista, Stodden’s mother and manager told Radar. “They want everybody to see their life. Nothing is off limits.”

As far as we know, the show has yet to be picked up for distribution. So don’t throw away your televisions/set your DVRs yet.

Update: Regarding the show being picked up, Bank says, “We are planning to take it out to the networks in the coming weeks.”

I'll honestly be surprised if a network doesn't pick it up. As questionable of a couple that they are, they make news and make press. I could easily see it being another one of those strange couple shows that appear on E. ...and I must admit, I'll probably watch an episode or two. I just want to see what drug he gives her that makes her so loopy...
