Courtney Love Joins 'Sons of Anarchy'
Sons of Anarchy is entering its final season with some fresh faces.
Courtney Love will join the cast in a multi-episode arc this season as Ms. Harrison, the preschool teacher of Jax's son, Abel. According to FX, Love will make her first appearance in the fourth episode of the seventh and final season, and that Ms. Harrison's interest in Abel "will rub his biological mother Wendy (series regular Drea de Matteo) the wrong way." Love, who was nominated for a Golden Globe for 1996's The People vs. Larry Flynt, remains a surprisingly not-terrible actress, so this is actually a pretty good addition to the ensemble.
But Love isn't the only rocker to join the cast, as the final season has already added Marilyn Manson as white supremacist Ron Tully. Also among new cast additions is Annabeth Gish, one of the stars of FX's other big summer drama, The Bridge. Gish will play the role of new sheriff Althea Jerry, who is tasked with solving two very big murders from last season (basically avoiding listing spoilers to cover my ass just in case). Gish is a new addition, but she'll hardly be the only star crossing over to the show from another FX drama, as she'll be joining the returning Walton Goggins. The Justified star is reprising his role as transgender escort Venus Van Dam for the final season, which has released its first teaser trailer (which you can watch here).
Granted, I'm not the most knowledgeable guy in the world when it comes to Sons of Anarchy, but with the addition of Love, this looks like a loaded cast. And I promise I'm not making a pun.
