Cory Monteith cause of death: 'Intravenous Heroin Use' and Alcohol
Cory Monteith died of "intravenous heroin use combined with the ingestion of alcohol" according to the official report by B.C. Coroner released on Wednesday.
Monteith died at age 31 on July 13, 2013 at Fairmont Pacific Rim hotel.

The coroner's report was made available today. It reads:
At approximately 1200 hours on July 13, 2013, Mr. Cory Allan Michael Monteith was found unresponsive in his hotel room at the Vancouver Fairmont Pacific Rim Hotel. Emergency Health Services were notified and attended the scene. Mr. Montheith was clearly deceased and resuscitation was not attempted. Vancouver Police notified the Coroners Service of the death and an investigation ensued. Mr. Monteith was found in a collapsed position on the hotel room floor. There was no trauma or injury observes and there was no evidence of foul play. It appeared that Mr. Monteith had been dead for several hours. An examination of the scene revealed drug paraphernalia including a spoon with drug residue and a used hypodermic needle. There were also two empty champagne bottles and multiple glasses located on a nearby table.Conclusion
I find that Cory Allan Michael Monteith died in Vancouver on July 13, 2013 of combined heroin and alcohol toxicity. I classify this death as accidental and make no recommendations.
