Conan O'Brien to Host 2014 MTV Movie Awards

The 86th Academy Awards ceremony is barely in the record books, yet we're now beginning preparations for the next big movie awards gala.

Conan O'Brien has been announced as the host of the 2014 MTV Movie Awards. The late night talk show host is no stranger to hosting awards shows, having twice hosted the Emmy Awards. The ceremony will air live on April 13 at 9:00 PM from Nokia Theater in Los Angeles. Nominations will be announced Thursday morning.

While we wait to find out who the nominees will be for Best Kiss, Best Fight, and whatever other crazy categories they've added since Chewbacca won their lifetime achievement award, check out this tweet from O'Brien, in which he confirms his role as host and name-drops One Direction's Harry Styles in the same breath (well, cyber breath, since he's not actually talking):

I'm excited to host the MTV #MovieAwards on 4/13! I was going to say no, but @Harry_Styles begged me. Please don't ask him to confirm this.— Conan O'Brien (@ConanOBrien) March 5, 2014
