The Complete 'Friends' Is Coming to Netflix in 2015

It looks like 2015 is going to be a huge year for Netflix. Not only are they venturing into the original movie business with a sequel to Ang Lee's Oscar-winning 2000 film, Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon, the company is also adding one of the most popular shows in the history of television to its library.

Yes, Friends is finally coming to Netflix. All of it. Every season, every episode.

The news was announced earlier today through a pair of tweets by Netflix:

An official Warner Bros. TV press release further expanded on the news:

"For the first time ever, Warner Bros. Worldwide Television Distribution has licensed the exclusive subscription-video-on-demand (SVOD) rights to one of television’s most successful series ever, WBTV’s "Friends," to Netflix in the U.S. and Canada. Starting January 1, 2015, Netflix members will have access to the entire 236 episode run of the series, which is still an enormous linear hit on cable (Nick at Nite and TBS) and in broadcast syndication."

The addition of Friends to the library commemorates the year-long 20th anniversary celebration of the series, as nostalgia continues to run wild in pop culture. You can chill with Chandler, Ross, Rachel, Joey, Phoebe and Monica when Friends premieres on Netflix on January 1, 2015.
