Comics, Opera, Cellcast

After my deep sleep nap today, I went out to get my comics:

Flash: Rebirth #1 - My favorite hero of all time returns! Barry Allen - the Silver Age Flash

Eternals #9 - I buy a lot of DC titles, but this Marvel book is my favorite read at the moment (also features by second favorite speedster: Makkari)

Conan The Cimmerian #9 - I have about 5 years worth of Conan that I've never read. I just buy. LOL

The Umbrella Academy / Dallas #5 - I love the Umbrella Academy.

I also bought a Flash action figure. I collect those. I have lots.

My comic book guy Roger is a big opera fan, and he gave me extra tickets to La Sonnambula at the Metropolitan Opera at 8 PM while I was leaving the store at 7:30. They were partial seat boxes near the stage in the balcony -- but since the production of this opera was boo'ed on opening night, it's not a loss. The singing is supposed to be excellent.

Unfortunately, I had committed to a David Cook cellcast at 9 PM. I decided that if Hector -- a high school friend who loves opera -- was willing to go with me on short notice I would go. So I went to Lincoln Center, waited a bit, but Hector called at 7:59 to say he can't make it.

Thankfully, I saw a couple of tourists taking pictures. I asked them if they wanted to watch the show for free. They said yes and I gave them the tickets. They ran in the theater as fast as they could. Hurray! I was so happy that I made some people happy. I called Roger to tell him I gave the tickets away and he was glad that they didn't go to waste.

So I went home and cellcasted David Cook for 167 dedicated fans.
