The cast of The CW's Beauty and the Beast was on hand for San Diego Comic-Con 2013, and the panel revealed a host of details for the upcoming sophomore season of the supernatural series.

Stars Kristin Kreuk and Jay Ryan were on the panel alongside executive producers Sherri Cooper and Jennifer Levin discussing what can be expected in season two. Here are some of the details the panel revealed (via Zap2It / TV Fanatic):

Season Two will pick up three months after the end of Season One. In addition, Vincent is expected to be "super-charged" and much "beastlier" than in the first season. Meanwhile, the panel implied that a secret about Cat's dad will likely come to the surface via her sister, Heather (played by Nicole Gale Anderson, who will be starring in ABC Family's upcoming Pretty Little Liars spin-off, Ravenswood).

The panel revealed that everyone on the show is really happy with the fan community, crediting the vocal "Beasties" population for winning them a second season, as the show might not have survived without their support both in viewership and through social media. With that said, the panel wasn't done revealing tidbits on what's to come in season two: JT (Austin Basis) is said to get a lot more development in Season Two, as will Vincent's family, details of which will be revealed early in the second season (Who's my mama?!" Jay Ryan joked). In addition, the season premiere will reveal the person (or persons) behind the shadowy Muirfield organization. However, the panel implied that Muirfield might not actually be responsible for Vincent's kidnapping in the season finale. So who is responsible? Maybe it will be one of the two new characters EP Sherri Cooper hinted at in the panel.

"We have a cool guy ... and a cool girl," said Cooper on the new cast additions.

But could we see the return of some familiar faces?

On the red carpet, Kristin Kreuk revealed even more: Tess and Joe have broken up! In addition, she reveals the identity of the character who died in season one who will return in season two! Is it Evan? Gabe? Cat's mother?! I can't wait for season two! Until then, you can watch some of the panel below via TV Fanatic and YouTube user 3HeadedMonkey):

Beauty and the Beast season two premieres Monday, October 7 on The CW.
