Comedy Central Renews 'Broad City'

It's a second season for the Amy Poehler-produced comedy about two women making it in the city.
Comedy Central has renewed Broad City for Season 2. The series stars Abbi Jacobson and Ilana Glazer as two wiseass best friends navigating the social dangers of New York City, and although the series only just premiered last month, it's already been a decent-sized success for the network. Averaging roughly 1.2 million viewers in the relatively underwhelming Wednesday 10:30 p.m. time slot, the show has definitely earned its spot on the schedule.
While no premiere date has been set in stone for Season 2, word is that the ten new episodes could premiere as early as this fall. Here's hoping! Broad City is way funnier than I expected it to be from previews. This joins Veep, Orange Is the New Black, and Parks and Recreation among the pantheon of truly funny comedies with female leads, in my opinion. I'm definitely interested to see what Jacobson and Glazer bring for Season 2.
