Comedy Central Cancels 'The Jeselnik Offensive'

And that'll be all for Anthony Jeselnik.

While performing a stand-up show on Saturday, Jeselnik announced that Comedy Central has canceled The Jeselnik Offensive after two seasons, which the network confirmed this afternoon. The series, a roundtable discussion/comedy talk show series, had been a modest enough ratings performer, but apparently the numbers it pulled weren't enough to save the show from the scrap heap. It could simply be that so much of Jeselnik's trademark dark humor had to be toned down to make the series more palatable for general audiences, as the show had Jeselnik's comedic sensibilities, but none of his edginess. No word yet on what, if any, show will fill the show's timeslot. More South Park and Key & Peele reruns? Not that I'm complaining or anything...
