Colton Dixon has signed a record deal with EMI CMG/Sparrow Records.  A very excited Colton shared the news with fans via YouTube.

Looks like Colton is officially going the Christian pop/rock route, which makes sense, since it seems that is where his heart is.  In addition to announcing the record deal, Colton announced that his original song "Never Gone," which he has been performing on the American Idol Tour, will be on iTunes September 25 and his first single, "You Are" will be on the radio "soon."
