From WENN:

Former AMERICAN IDOL finalist COLTON DIXON has landed two number one spots on the BILLBOARD charts with his debut single.

The affable rocker finished in seventh place on the past season of Idol, but has still managed to gain a strong fan following after his departure from the competition.

His first single, Never Gone, was released on 25 September (12), and within one week, the song entered both the Christian Digital Songs survey and the Christian/Gospel Digital Songs chart at number one.

Dixon released the single through EMI Records-owned Sparrow label, which is also home to season five Idol alum, Mandisa.

Dixon is the sixth Idol from the past season to chart - Jessica Sanchez, Joshua Ledet, Hollie Cavanagh, Skylar Laine and winner Phillip Phillps have all tasted success.
