LIVE RECAP:

Luke Bryan and Florida Georgia Line opened the show with joint performances of 'That's My Kind of Night' and 'Cruise'.

The opening monologue with Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood mocked country music feuding, sexting, Obamacare and twerking.

Single of the Year was awarded to 'Cruise' by Florida Georgia Line, by the Duck Dynasty cast.

Jason Aldean performed 'Night Train' in the shell of a train carriage.

Kacey Musgraves performed 'Follow Your Arrow' in a cute yellow dress.

Lady Antebellum performed their current single 'Compass'.

Jake Owen and Lucy Hale awarded Song of the Year to Lee Brice's 'I Drive Your Truck'.

Little Big Town performed 'Sober' surrounded by candles.

Keith Urban and Miranda Lambert performed 'We Were Us', sounding better than the studio version!

Lee Brice, Kip Moore and Brett Eldredge came to the stage to hand out Vocal Duo of the Year to Florida Georgia Line.

Taylor Swift, Vince Gill and Alison Krauss performed a bluegrass version of 'Red'.

Florida Georgia Line performed their hit 'Round Here'.

Hunter Hayes and Jason Mraz performed 'Everybody's Got Somebody But Me', mixing it up by starting backstage.

Hunter Hayes announced Kacey Musgraves as the winner of New Artist of the Year.

Eric Church rocked up the show with new single 'The Outsiders'.

The Band Perry brought out the drama with a performance of 'Don't Let Me Be Lonely'.

Sheryl Crow presented the award for Album of the Year, which went to Based On A True Story... by Blake Shelton.

Tim McGraw chilled the audience out with the laid-back 'Southern Girl'.

Blake Shelton performed the ballad 'Mine Would Be You'.

Lennon & Maisy Stella performed a snippet of Taylor Swift's 'You Belong With Me'.

George Strait, Keith Urban, Brad Paisley, Rascal Flatts, Tim McGraw and Faith Hill presented the Pinnacle Award to Taylor Swift, along with a montage celebrating Taylor's career so far, including testimonies from huge stars such as Julia Roberts, Reese Witherspoon, Carly Simon, Vince Gill and Mick Jagger. Taylor gave a cute acceptance speech too!

Carrie Underwood performed a medley of her 4 hits from Blown Away, including the title track, 'Good Girl', 'Two Black Cadillacs' and 'See You Again'.

Kellie Pickler and P Diddy presented the award for Vocal Group of the Year to Little Big Town.

George Strait and Alan Jackson performed 'He Stopped Loving Her Today' as a tribute to the late George Jones, who sadly passed away this year.

Zac Brown Band and Dave Grohl teamed up for a performance of 'Day For The Dead', a new song presumably written for the group's new album, which Dave Grohl is apparently producing.

Brad Paisley took to the stage to perform 'The Mona Lisa', an album track from Wheelhouse and a fan favorite, running through the crowd during his epic guitar solo!

Rascal Flatts, Darius Rucker and Jennifer Nettles joined Kenny Rogers on stage for a tribute to the latter, who was presented with the Willie Nelson Lifetime Achievement award, including a resounding finale in the form of 'Islands In The Stream'.

Connie Britton and Chip Esten, stars of ABC's Nashville, presented Female Vocalist of the Year to Miranda Lambert.

Luke Bryan performed a tribute to his late brother and sister with his new single 'Drink A Beer'.

Kelly Clarkson presented Male Vocalist of the Year to Blake Shelton, making it another double win for the married couple of Blake and Miranda.

Robin Roberts from Good Morning America presented the final award, Entertainer of the Year, to George Strait, who will be retiring from touring next year.
