Kevin Smith Has Successfully Financed 'Clerks III'
Clerks 3 is in our future, and it's all thanks to the not-so-success of Kevin Smith's walrus horror film Tusk.
(Side note: this is a sentence we never thought we'd type.)
"A year and change ago I was desperately trying to get Clerks III made for the 20th anniversary and that desperation — I must have reeked of it because I couldn't f—king find money and sh—," Smith joked during his weekly smodcast.

"But it was Tusk people going ‘Holy f—k, what else do you have?' and I was like Clerks III and they're like 'done.'"
Concluded the director, "So, everybody that's like, 'He failed, he failed,' I'm like 'Thank you, I failed into doing Clerks III."
To the surprise of no one, Tusk, the horror movie about a man who turns Justin Long into a walrus has only made $1.4 million after 10 days in theatres and is doing so poorly that even Smith has turned the film into a joke.
