Well here's a feel good reality series. Some of our readers suggested that we watch this and I did tonight and it's probably an appropriate reality show for the holidays.

Different choirs are paired with a celebrity "mentor" ala X-Factor, namely: Kelly Rowand, Patti LaBelle, Nick Lachey, Michael Bolton and Blake Shelton. The celebrities not only conduct and inspire their choirs, they are also the judges giving commentary.

These choirs are not what I am used to seeing since there are guys who have solos and a lot dancing and not much harmonies. But it is nice to see that the choirs are quite diverse: young and old, and an excellent racial mix.

I think this series may have potential because of its "everyman" appeal, but I can't get over the song and dance. This might get solved tomorrow when the choirs perform Christmas tunes which are more conducive to multiple voices, and the choirs also perform a number with their mentors.
