Ciara feat. 2 Chainz - Sweat - MP3 Listen

R&B singer Ciara was scheduled to make a big comeback with her 2010 effort, Basic Instinct. However plans went horribly wrong as the one-time multi-platinum recording artist's latest effort flopped on the charts and she parted with her label. Now, aided by former mentor L.A. Reid and  rapper 2 Chainz in tow, Ciara is ready to ignite the chart with her new single "Sweat."

Lets start with the good. This is classic Ciara. The same girl that the music world fell in love with during the "Goodies" era still has her charm without this record sounding too dated. It is reminiscent of her previous songs while including some of the Diplo-style electro that the industry has been intrigued with as of late. While the song does not scream "summer smash" as we expected, it does have the potential to dominate urban radio, and crossover. I am not screaming over the 2 Chainz feature, but as he is arguably the most buzzed about rapper at the moment, this definitely helps the song's case. With a hot music video, Ciara could have a hit on her hands.

The song will be released on June 19th on iTunes. The parent album, One Woman Army, will be released in the coming months. As Ciara says in "Sweat",  "'watch ya learn something!"
