Christian Bale - Original Batman Audition With Amy Adams - Video

The upcoming Dark Knight Trilogy Ultimate Collector’s Edition Blu-ray has a slew of special features, but perhaps the most interesting is Christian Bale's original audition for the iconic role.

In the audition, Bale sports Val Kilmer's Batman Forever costume, and acts out a scene opposite Academy Award nominee Amy Adams, who served as scene partner as a favor to the film’s casting director. Apparently, writer/director Christopher Nolan was most impressed by Bale's decision that “Batman had to have a different voice… that he had to put on a voice” when wearing the cape and cowl.
