Chris Rock to Host 'Saturday Night Live' With Musical Guest Prince

Saturday Night Live is kicking off November in a big way, hiring two huge stars to anchor the first show of the month.

The November 1st episode of SNL will feature Chris Rock hosting the show, with Prince signing on to serve as musical guest.

Presumably, both men will be promoting their new projects. Chris Rock's critically-acclaimed film, Top Five, will open in limited release on December 5th and expand on December 12th. Prince, meanwhile, recently released two albums on the same day, Plectrum Electrum and Art Official Age.

It should be a great show, since Prince is an eclectic musical performer, and Chris Rock's ability as a comedian is unquestioned. Hell, he's even been on SNL before, first as a cast member for three seasons in the early 90s, and later as host in 1996. This will be a big return for Rock, and a welcome one for Prince, whose first appearance as musical guest was in 1981 for host Charlene Tilton. We can't wait.
