Chris Pine Charged With DUI

Actor Chris Pine has been charged with driving under the influence in New Zealand. Much disappoint.

As New Zealand police revealed in a statement, a 33-year-old American was charged with a DUI on Saturday, March 1 after his blood-alcohol level tested over the legal limit (.08 in New Zealand).

While he was not originally named by police, Pine was stopped during a routine early-morning check.

Captain Kirk 2.0 was in New Zealand filming the movie Z is for Zachariah when the incident occurred. He was spotted the night before (Feb. 28) in a bar celebrating the end of shooting with his girlfriend Iris Bjork Johannesdottir. The bar's manager said Pine did not seem drunk when he left at 2:30 AM.

According to officials, he will make his first court appearance for the incident on Monday (March 17).
