Chris Pine Pleads Guilty to DUI

Captain Kirk 2.0 himself Chris Pine has plead guilty to a DUI in New Zealand and lost his license. Meaning no more using that warp drive for a while.

As a result of his guilty plea in Ashburton District Court, Pine was fined 93 NZD (roughly the equivalent of $79 USD) and had his New Zealand driver's license suspended for six months.

During the hearing, Pine's lawyer told the judge that the actor was aware he had made a mistake to drive and as a result has suffered "emotionally and professionally."

Meaning that his actions and the surrounding negative publicity have "put his acting contracts in jeopardy."

In response to this statement, the judge said she agreed that Pine was "entirely remorseful."

Pine was arrested for driving under the influence on March 1 during a routine mourning check.

And apparently we need to look into visiting New Zealand because that exchange rate sounds pretty awesome.
