Chris Golightly Does Not Go Lightly: Shopping Autobiography "Orphan"

Shirley Halperin from the LA Times is reporting that Chris Golightly who was disqualified last week from American Idol for not disclosing that he had a recording deal is shopping his autobiography. Tentative title: "Orphan".

The proposal reads:

Blessed with a wonderful gift, the only escape Chris had was his voice. And Chris sang. He sang through pain, he sang through tears, he sang through the tragic existence that had become his life. Chris sang so beautifully that he often moved his torturers to compassion. And most importantly, Chris’ singing helped uplift and motivate other orphans to survive their own personal nightmares.

American Idol' is simply the latest heartbreaking event in the fascinating and gut-wrenching life story of Chris Golightly.

I just looked at my imaginary watch. Aren't the 15-seconds over?

Also, the self-importance over being an orphan "survivor" (which American Idol played up the narrative for on TV) is a bit off-putting. You know who's the poster-child for orphan success that we should all look up to Chris Golightly? Steve Jobs. Nuff said.
