Colfer, who is currently in New York promoting the second novel in his The Land of Stories series, The Enchantress Returns, is set to join the cast in what he says will be an emotional reunion.

Speaking to Entertainment Weekly Radio, he said, "We've had bumps and dips along the road over the course of the years, but nothing like this."

"I know we've always come together - always - in the past, because we are such a family in the cast and the crew."

He went on to say, "I'm assuming things will be very different, and I'm sure they'll be difficult at first. But…. We'll see. I think I'm positive."

Lea Michele gathered with cast and crew last week for a private memorial service. Since then, Fox, makers of Glee, have released a touching memorial video of Monteith's best bits on the show.

Filming of Glee's new season was delayed about a week following the sad news. The cast and crew are expected to begin production again this week.
