Cheryl Cole and Simon Cowell likely to return to 'The X Factor UK' - Report
A new report claims that Cheryl Cole is almost certain to return to The X Factor UK, while Simon Cowell is likely to join her.

Cole would return to the franchise after being axed by Cowell three years after the premiere of the inaugural season of The X Factor USA. Both Gary Barlow and Sharon Osborne both confirmed that they would not be returning for the upcoming season, leaving two slots on the panel open.

A source says, "The contracts for the show will be drawn up and negotiated in March, but the plan is very much to bring back Cheryl. Simon and Cheryl had fantastic on-screen chemistry. It makes perfect sense to put them back together on-screen, and everyone involved  is very excited by the prospect."

Bringing Cole back and a return by Cowell would be seen as a move to boost ratings after the XF UK fell behind BBC1 rival, Stricly Come Dancing. 

Cowell sent the rumor mill spinning once he said in an interview last week that he would like to work to Cole again.
