Cheech Marin to Guest Star on 'Jane the Virgin'

His former comedy partner Tommy Chong may have been heating things up this fall on Dancing With the Stars, but Cheech Marin isn't getting entirely left out of the TV season.

Marin will star on The CW's Jane the Virgin this season, playing the role of Edward, abuelita Alba’s love interest whom she meets in physical therapy. Marin's episode is expected to air when the show returns from winter hiatus in January.

The actor joins a slew of guest stars expected to appear this season on the new show, as Colombian rock star Juanes and pop star/former X Factor USA judge Paulina Rubio have signed on to guest star on the show, which has earned a full season order from The CW in the wake of its critical acclaim.

Marin is a talented comedian, and is pretty underrated as an actor. Since "funny and underrated" is basically Jane the Virgin, in a nutshell, Marin should fit right in.
