Charts: David Cook's 'This Loud Morning' drops 74% on second week

Buy: Dream With Me

Jackie Evancho from America's Got Talent beat Scotty McCreery and David Cook from American Idol last week in album sales. Jackie's "Dream With Me" was #6 on the Billboard 200 selling 34,000 copies.

Scotty's EP sold 14,000 copies while David Cook's 'This Loud Morning' sold 12,000 - a 74% drop.

Will Cook sell at least 100,000 copies of his sophomore album? I'm so worried now!

I'll try to spin this positively and say that knowing how bad the market is right now 12,000 is still an amazing number for David Cook! Bah, who am I kidding? According to Billboard, though total market sales were down 16% compared to last week, it was actually up 2% from last year.

American Idol fatigue in the charts or is it something else?
