While $125,000 might sound like a large some of cash in most cases, is that the salary you'd expect the star of what's sure to be a blockbuster film series to rake in? Charlie Hunnam was allegedly only expected to earn $125k for the first film, Fifty Shades of Grey, in E.L. James' popular book series.
To put things into perspective, some cast members from MTV's Jersey Shore were making that much per episode while the series was at its peak. Paris Hilton was once said to be earning that the same amount simply to show up at a club for a few hours.
In other news, Hunnam was allegedly looking for script approval without a producer credit, which is a slightly uncommon request for actors to make. It seems that this was just a poor deal for everyone involved.
Irish model Jamie Dornan has since replaced Hunnam as Christian Grey in the Fifty Shades of Grey film.
