Charges against Bucky Covington dropped

A few weeks ago, it was reported that Country star and American Idol finalist Bucky Covington was facing allegations of theft by a promoter in Florida who claimed Bucky and “his gang” had absconded with funds collected at the gate. On Friday, the State Attorney General’s office in Volusia County, Florida, dismissed all charges against Covington.

A statement from the State Attorney’s Office indicated that “after a review of the information and evidence presented, the prosecutor determined that there was insufficient evidence to prove the charges against Mr. Covington beyond a reasonable doubt at trial.”
