CeeLo Green Wants to Help Cole Vosbury Win 'The Voice'

Just because he's been knocked out of the competition doesn't mean CeeLo Green isn't still invested in who wins The Voice.

In an interview with Zap2It, CeeLo says he not only wants Cole Vosbury to win, he actually intends to help the bearded singer do it, even if it means handing coach Blake Shelton his fourth consecutive victory. His reason is because he feels he believed in Cole's potential long before the other coaches did.

"You know Cole, who's on Team Blake now, was originally discovered by me," says CeeLo. "No one turned around for Cole but me. I'm so pleasantly surprised that he's still in the race."

His faith in Cole's potential is compelling CeeLo to get involved in the singer's mentoring process with coach Blake Shelton. “I support [Cole] and so, I’m going to go over tomorrow and visit with him and see what’s going on, see if I can put my two cents in.”

Yet the team up between CeeLo and Blake could be a concerted effort to stall coach Adam Levine's insane momentum, as he still has all three of his artists in the competition.

"Adam is focused," CeeLo says of Adam, before detailing the very competitive spirit among the coaches. "You know what, this happens to all of us. Everybody's the best of friends earlier on [in] the innocent part, initially, of just finding people at auditions, which is probably my favorite part. When you get to this point, the fangs come out and everybody realizes that, 'Oh s***, I wanna win.' So Adam is one of those fierce competitors. When he wants to win, he truly does. I really can appreciate that."

If anyone can end Blake's three-season reign as The Voice's winning coach, it would likely be the only other coach to actually win this thing, as Adam mentored Javier Colon to the title in the show's inaugural season. But a lot has changed since then, from the format to the level of competition. Although Cole Vosbury is Blake's sole remaining act, he should still provide formidable competition to the other artists in the running, particularly now that he has additional backing.

So what do you think? Should coaches be allowed to mentor another coach's artists once they've been knocked out of the competition? And how would you feel about Cole Vosbury (and Blake Shelton) winning The Voice? Sound off in the comments!
