CBS yanks 'The Job' after two episodes

CBS has decided it wants to get out of the job-giving business, and do some Donald Trump-like firing of its own.
The Job, CBS' latest reality venture from Survivor producer Mark Burnett and Watch What Happens Live's Michael Davies, has been yanked by the network after only two episodes.
The series, hosted by Lisa Ling, was a competition in which groups of contestants fought for the chance to land their dream jobs. Eight episodes were produced, but only the episodes highlighting Cosmopolitan and The Palm ever made it to air. No word yet on if CBS plans to air the remaining six episodes. For now, Undercover Boss will take its place, resuming its former 8:00 PM timeslot beginning this Friday.
The move comes after The Job was only able to garner 3.4 million viewers and a 0.7 rating in the key demo of adults ages 18-49, down from the previous week, which scored 4.1 million viewers and a 0.9 key demo rating.
