CBS is prepping a spinoff to the ending How I Met Your Mother. Guess what? This time they are focusing on a meeting a father! Read more:

According to Deadline:

Referred to as How I Met Your Father, the spinoff hails from HIMYM creators/executive producers Carter Bays and Craig Thomas and Up All Night creator/exec producer Emily Spivey. It would feature a new group of New York friends and chronicle a female member of the group’s quest to meet her future husband.

The report also says the new characters could be introduced in the season finale. However it is made clear that the premise would not be based upon the other characters and all of them would not have ties to the old ones from HIMYM.

CBS seems to want to capitalize off of HIMYM, it's big time comedy. Last month, we learned that preliminary talks were underway for a spin-off ABC's big time comedy, Modern Family. Thoughts?
