Casting News: 'Switched at Birth' adds 90s film star; 'Revolution' adds 'Gossip Girl' vet
One of the best-known film actresses of the 1990s has joined the cast of ABC Family's Switched at Birth.
Joey Lauren Adams (star of Chasing Amy, Dazed and Confused, and Mallrats) will guest-star on two episodes of the ABC Family series as Nikki’s mother, reports TVLine.
Creator Lizzy Weiss recently tweeted this photo of Adams on-set with Lucas Grabeel, who plays Nikki’s fiancé, Toby:

The episodes featuring Adams will air on August 5th and 12th, respectively.
Meanwhile, Revolution has added a veteran of The CW's recently-concluded Gossip Girl to its cast for a major arc in season two, reports Entertainment Weekly.

Patrick Heusinger, who played Lord Marcus on The CW series, will play the role of Adam, "a handsome rogue with a good sense of humor who lives life to the fullest."
He is the latest enlistee in the second season of the NBC drama, joining Zero Dark Thirty actress Jessica Collins, who will play Cynthia, "a beautiful young woman of deep faith, whose winning humor and blazing intelligence capture the heart of one of Revolution’s leading characters.” (Via: EW)
