Casey Abrams & Haley Reinhart to Play Carnegie Hall - Video

Former American Idol contestants Casey Abrams and Haley Reinhart will take the stage at Carnegie Hall on October 8, along with Grammy winning artist Irvin Mayfield.  What an exciting opportunity for them!

Per THR:

"The Season 10 finalists were invited to participate in a musical showcase with Grammy-winning artist Irvin Mayfield and the New Orleans Jazz Orchestra Oct. 8. In addition to the 18-person big band orchestra and Mayfield, the night will feature jazz vocalist Dee Dee Bridgewater, the acclaimed Sphinx Virtuosi and other special guests."

The event is a celebration of the orchestra's 10th musical anniversary.  Reinhart earned an invitation to the prestigous gig via an improptu performance with Mayfield at a New Orlean's jazz club.

Haley says she is very honored by the invitation and urges people to do that spontaneous thing you are on the fence about, because you never know where it might lead.

I'm really excited for the two of them.  Their duets were some of my favorite performances from season ten and getting to play at Carnegie hall with some of the greats of contemporary jazz music has to be a dream come true for the pair.
