From WENN:
THE VOICE host CARSON DALY has revealed format changes for season three, including a tweak that would allow judges to steal eliminated contestants from rival mentors.
The show with the spinning chairs will be a little different this time around, as the radio/TV personality hints at some surprising changes during the live battle rounds.
In an interview with television news website TVLine.com, Daly discloses there will be adjustments made that may be beneficial for some judges, but not for others.
He reveals, "We’re tweaking the battle rounds a little bit for Season 3. The best way to categorize the changes is that we’re playing with some potential interchangeability."
The TVLine.com reporter asks if by 'interchangeability', he refers to the possibility of the judges stealing an eliminated contestant from another team, Daly coyly responds, "I will unofficially not comment on that, but I think that you in particular will enjoy this season of The Voice."
In addition, Daly divulges that the blind auditions will last longer than in past seasons, airing three nights a week. There will also be less contestants shown in the live shows, but more personal stories from each of the singing hopefuls.
Season three begins this fall (12), and is set to compete for ratings against FOX's talent competition program The X-Factor.
