Award-winning singer Carrie Underwood and her Ottawa Senators hockey player fiancé Mike Fisher are set to marry today (Saturday) in Georgia, according to several US reports. The couple is planning to make their big day quite a luxurious affair, for which they have booked out an entire hotel in Georgia, the reports say.

Fisher, 30, and Underwood, 27, had been dating for a year before getting engaged in December (09).

The Canadian hockey player popped the big question to the country crooner last December in Ottawa with a 12-carat ring worth about $800,000.

Previously, the singer repeatedly had squashed reports that she is romantically involved with the sports star. And it was only few days before the engagement that she had spoke for the first time in public about their love affair.

Wedding bells for Carrie and Fisher
After six months of courtship, Fisher and Underwood are set to tie the knot. The two will walk down the aisle Saturday, July 10, in Georgia, according to Daily Mail.

The American Idol winner and her pro hockey fiancé will swap vows in a luxurious ceremony that will be held at The Ritz-Carlton Lodge, Reynolds Plantation, in Greensboro, Ga., reports the publication.

Carrie’s big day is a private affair
According to local paper The Herald Journal, to keep the unwanted guests away, Underwood and Fisher have booked every room at the venue to house their guests for the night, costing a whopping $268,000.

"She has blocked off all 251 rooms at the hotel," SFGate.com has quoted the publication's editor, Carey Williams, as saying.

“We'll just show up,” Daily quoted the bride-to-be as saying. “It's mainly about family and friends and the two of us. So it's going to be good no matter what.'

If the circulating reports are to be believed, the guest list includes Tim McGraw and Faith Hill, Simon Cowell, Paula Abdul, Randy Jackson and Fisher's teammates Chris Neil and Chris Phillips.

Honeymoon plans
A report by Mercury News says that the couple will spend their first night as husband and wife in the Presidential House, which costs $4,000 a night.

According to the publication the 5,400 square-foot suite comes with two king-size rooms and two double bedrooms, a gourmet kitchen, terrace with access to the recreation room, private pool, living room and dining room which seats 16 people.

Men in Carrie’s past life
Underwood, who shot to fame after winning the singing competition, 'American Idol,' and Fisher met at one of her concerts in 2008 and became engaged in last December.

Before dating Fisher, Underwood was romantically linked to Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo, 'Gossip Girl' star Chace Crawford and former 'Bachelor' star Travis Stork
