Carly Smithson - "Alone" - Hollywood Week - American Idol 7

OMG, Carly Smithson the so called "Irish Girl" has got to be the most pimped contestant in American Idol history!

Carly Smithson tries her best to act surprised and worried that things might go wrong for her this year on American Idol. She even did that lame "I'm allergic to my dog" sob story. C'mon! I think the writers didn't try hard enough. Also, notice how the judges really KNOW Carly, and they just can't hide it! Lack of self-confidence, my cute butt.

To the uninformed, Carly Smithson is Carly Hennessy. Carly signed a contract with MCA a few years ago and made a CD and music video. That major record label spent $2.2 million on Carly Smithson, but the CD flopped selling only 300+ copies. It was a lesson oh how to not launch a career.

Kelly Clarkson sang one of the tracks on her debut CD from Carly Smithson's debut album! Can you imagine that?

Carly Smithson sings "Alone" by Carrie Underwood. Carly Smithson is no Carrie Underwood, I'm sorry. But I have to be honest: I love this villain -- I had so many things to write!
