The cardinals have released White Smoke! We have a new Pope!

White smoke poured from the chimney of the Sistine Chapel midday Wednesday, signaling that a new pope has been elected. In order to be elected, a candidate had to receive a majority of 77 votes. Early in the day, Ukrainian feminists in St. Peter’s Square staged a protest to the vote, donning “pope no more” on their topless chests. Many, including New York’s Cardinal Dolan, have predicted a new pope will be chosen by Thursday.
