Caleb Johnson releases 'Only One' single (MP3 Audio)

American Idol XIII winner Caleb Johnson has released a song titled 'Only One' on YouTube.

The song is from Caleb's debut album 'Testify' which comes out August 12, 2014.

Looks like Caleb is following in the footsteps of adult contemporary performers ahead of him on Idol. This ballad sounds like something David Archuleta could have had on his debut album six years ago -- which already had a dated sound from the late 90s.

Oh well. So much for bringing rock and roll back for Caleb Johnson. I do hope that the rest of the songs on his debut album are truer to the music he wants to be known for. Or if compromise is the name of the game, at least have one marketable track in there.

If this is the lead off single, I am not optimistic.
