Bryan Cranston Says 'Never Say Never' to More 'Breaking Bad'
Could we get more Breaking Bad some day? You know, other than the upcoming spinoff Better Call Saul? Multi-time Emmy winner Bryan Cranston thinks there's certainly a possibility.
When asked by CNN host Ashleigh Banfield if his character, Walter White, actually did die in the Breaking Bad series finale, Cranston responded, "I don't know."
"You never saw bags zip up or anything," Cranston added, referencing how we never saw Walter White actually succumb to his gunshot wounds following the climactic encounter with a racist, drug-peddling biker gang.
The possibility of Walter White being alive led to the obvious question: could we someday get more Breaking Bad? Perhaps an epilogue or a limited series, sort of like what FOX is doing with 24: Live Another Day?
"Never say never," Cranston replied, coy as always.
Of course, Cranston has been open in the past to returning to the world of Breaking Bad, and to playing the role of Walter White once again. Both he and Emmy-winning co-star Aaron Paul have said they'd be open to appearing on Better Call Saul, the spinoff premiering this November on AMC.
That said, does anyone else think Walter White's arc ended perfectly? I adore Breaking Bad, but I'm not sure I necessarily would want such a perfect finale to be tainted by having it all undone after the fact. What do you think? Sound off in the comments, as we ponder the pros and cons of theoretically getting more Breaking Bad someday.
