The upcoming Breaking Bad spinoff, Better Call Saul, is expected to start production soon -- and Breaking Bad stars Bryan Cranston and Aaron Paul want to be a part of it when it does.
"Both Bryan and I want to be a part of that, if they'll have us," said Paul in an interview with Details.
Paul's eagerness to appear on the show reflects the similar enthusiasm of Vince Gilligan, who has gone on record as saying that he'd like to have Paul and Cranston appear on Better Call Saul, which he's co-creating with writer-director Peter Gould. Speculation is already running rampant as to what possible roles Cranston and Paul could have.
One would think their appearance on the prequel series would be more than just a cameo, but it would be kind of difficult for Gilligan to give either Walter White or Jesse Pinkman all that significant a part, given that this is prior to the time in which they knew criminal lawyer Saul Goodman. It should be interesting to see how this all plays out. But as for now, the show looks to be building a considerable amount of buzz. If it's anything like its parent series, Better Call Saul should be worth all the hype.
