The Brooks, Concept, and New Girl Group sang on The X Factor UK 2014 Judges' Houses.

I thought all three groups were pretty solid here. Granted, The Brooks need a lot of work, but they're far from the worst twosome I've seen on this show. Hell, they're not even the worst twosome this season. Their version of "Jar of Hearts" showed flashes of real potential, if not as a group then as individuals. Meanwhile, Concept delivered a very professional, tuneful performance of Beyonce's "XO" that showed why they've been one of the strongest groups this season. Lastly, the new girl group delivered an impressive, if harmony-lacking, version of "Say Something" (here titled "I'm Giving Up On You," since the person titling these videos apparently doesn't know popular music). These groups basically delivered as best they could in a category that's one of the more random from one year to the next. Seriously, there's no category where my predictions are worse than with the Groups. ESPECIALLY when Louis is the mentor.

But did any of these groups make it through to live shows?

None of these groups are through to the Live Shows, unfortunately.

I could see not putting The Brooks or the New Girl Group through, but I was really expecting Concept to make it through. They were seriously good (reminded me a bit of The Risk from a few seasons ago). Louis has been making some really random choices, but then, that's kind of how he operates. So I probably shouldn't be surprised.
