Britney Spears and Demi Lovato Dish on The X Factor Judging Styles - Video

While rumors abound that Mariah Carey wants to be the lone female on the American Idol panel, The X Factor  judges Britney Spears and Demi Lovato appear to be working well together.

Brittney admits to taking judging tips from the 20 year old pop star Lovato and even claims that Demi has helped her to "toughen up" as a judge.

Lovato has said that while she feels a lot of pressure, being the "first young person" to judge one of these shows, she also feels being a young star herself, she can bring a fresh new perspective to aspiring singers.  She calls her own judging style "tough and fair."

Simon Cowell doesn't seem to feel either lady needs help in the "toughness" department though, as he has called Brittney's style "quite mean" in the past.

For much of the first season of The X Factor USA, there was something of a boys vs girls mentality with former judges Paula Abdul and Nicole Scherzinger often teaming up against Simon Cowell.

She may have several chart-topping albums under her belt, but Britney Spears gets her career advice from a 20 year old.

While discussing the upcoming season of "The X Factor," Spears admitted to taking judging tips from her fellow new judge Demi Lovato.

"She toughens me up!" Spears told TV Guide. "Sometimes I listen to [her] and I'm like, 'Oh, God, I've got be a little stronger.'"
