Britney Spears Songs Are Used to Scare Away Somali Pirates

Seems one group of people who aren't fans of Britney Spears' earlier work include Somali pirates who are deterred from attacking naval ships off the African coast when Brit Brit's '90s catalog is played.
Officer Rachel Owens says the pirates turn tail and flee when they hear "Baby One More Time" and "Oops! I Did it Again" and no, before you check your calendars it is not April Fool's Day.
"These guys can’t stand Western culture or music, making Britney’s hits perfect." Owen's explained.
However it's more the volume at which the songs are played rather than the content. According to the Atlantic, "LRADs blast walls of sound which bring people to their knees, and have been used to quell riots and deter pirates in the past."
Don't feel too bad for the pirates though, as Steven Jones of the Security Association for the Maritime Industry joked they're not into breaking international law, commenting, "I’d imagine using Justin Bieber would be against the Geneva Convention."
Yikes, someone rush Bieber to the ER because he's gonna need a visit to the burn ward and stat. You go Steven Jones!
