Cory Monteith's autopsy has been performed and the coroner's report is now a matter of public record. The findings?

The Glee star, whose body was found in a Vancouver hotel room over the weekend, died of a "mixed drug toxicity" of heroin and alcohol, reports PEOPLE.

"At this point there is no evidence to suggest Mr. Monteith's death was anything other than a most-tragic accident," the BC Coroners Service said in a statement.

The cause of Monteith's death was determined by autopsy and toxicology tests, though authorities are continuing to investigate the matter.

"Mr. Monteith's family has been made aware of the circumstances surrounding the death," the Coroners Service said. "On behalf of family members, the BC Coroners Service asks that the media respect their privacy at this difficult time."

The Canadian native recently completed a month-long stint in rehab, having been released in April from a treatment facility for substance addiction. The star has always been open about his lifelong struggles with addiction, and he's always had the support of his fellow Glee castmates, including girlfriend Lea Michele, who publicly stood by her man during his hardship.

It's still unknown what happened after Monteith checked into the Fairmont Pacific Rim on July 6. He and his manager dined on Thursday night with Maureen Webb, the co-founder of Project Limelight Society, who said the actor "looked so good, so healthy."

Police say that the next night, Monteith and three unidentified people left his hotel room. The actor returned alone at about 2:15 a.m. Saturday, with his body being discovered shortly after noon, when Monteith missed his check-out.

In the wake of the star's death, an outpouring of grief was felt throughout the entertainment community, with celebrities tweeting their condolences and memories of the actor. Glee star Naya Rivera released a statement about her late friend and co-star, while fellow co-star Matthew Morrison dedicated a cabaret performance to Monteith.

But it is perhaps Monteith's girlfriend and Glee co-star, Lea Michele, who was hit hardest by the loss. The actress was reportedly "inconsolable" and "hysterical" with grief after learning of Monteith's death. A subsequent statement from Michele, released via her rep, asked for "privacy during this devastating time."
