The Breaking Bad finale isn't even a week old, yet R.J. Mitte has already booked his next acting role.

Mitte will be joining the cast of ABC Family’s Switched At Birth in a recurring role. The former Breaking Bad star will play Campbell, “a pre-med college student paralyzed by a snowboarding accident who works at the free clinic.”

Series creator, Lizzy Weiss, said she’s thrilled to have Mitte on the show, stating, “Our show is about diversity and telling stories about people from all walks of life.” Of Campbell, the character Mitte will portray, Weiss states he “is charismatic, funny, and a bit of a ladies’ man, and we think Breaking Bad fans will enjoy seeing Walt Jr. in a totally different light.”

Mitte's run on the series will start when the show returns in January 2014.
