Bravo Cancels Work of Art

Bravo has canceled their reality competition show Work of Art, however the show is being shopped around to other networks.

After two seasons, Bravo has called it quits with its lowly rated reality show Work of Art.  The show was sort of like Project Runway, except with art.

I actually enjoyed this sometimes bizarre show, though admittedly I don't know anything about art.  I hope it gets picked up somewhere.

From Reality Blurred:

Bravo’s Work of Art has been cancelled after two seasons, but there’s hope that it may live on to poop on and ejaculate all over the art world.

The cancellation is disappointing: While the show wasn’t perfect—its judging was deeply flawed—it was a fresh competition with interesting contestants (even the Sucklord) who produced visually engaging work. And it was also nice to have an alternative to the increasingly stale Top Chef.

But it’s not dead yet: The Observer’s GalleristNY reports that “Dan Cutforth of Magical Elves, which produces the show, said that he’s already had interest from other networks and believes that, as was the case when he brought Project Greenlight to Bravo from HBO, the show’s message could endure a transition to a new channel.”
