Boy Scouts Lift Ban on Gay Youths
Golden Spread Council
Today, over sixty percent of voluntary Boy Scout troop leaders voted to upheave the ban on gay youth. The organization's chief executive noted this brave and controversial decision to be "compassionate, caring, and kind." From this point forward, no youth is to be denied admission into the scouts "on the basis of sexual orientation or preference alone."
Still, the debate rolls forward on whether or not the organization will allow openly gay men and troop leaders. Today's victory is most certainly a huge milestone in the Boy Scouts of America's integration into modern culture.
