Born This Way - A Cappella - Lady Gaga

Lady Gaga sings "Born This Way" a cappella at Madison Square Garden last night for the Monster Ball Tour. Did they have technical difficulty or was it part of the show?

It was a little pitchy to me (I think it may have been a backup singer), but still a great effort, considering pop singers these days wouldn't even consider singing a cappella in a concert.
