'Bones' Casts Oscar Nominee for Season 9

Bones has already been renewed for Season 10, but Season 9 still has a ways to go before the end. In keeping with saving the best for the back half, the cast has now added an Oscar nominee as a guest star.
Shohreh Aghdashloo, who was nominated for a Best Supporting Actress Oscar for 2003's House of Sand and Fog, will play Deena Vaziri, the mother of Arastoo (Pej Vahdat). The Hollywood Reporter describes the character: "Eager to meet her son's longtime girlfriend, she comes to town with the intention of meeting the couple for dinner. As is the case with so many meet-the-parents moments on TV, things do not go according to plan when Deena's persistent line of motherly questioning makes her son fear that they don't approve of the relationship."
Sounds like traditional parent drama, but Bones could use some more levity this season.
